projects
Our passion and drive have been instrumental to the success of numerous projects both domestically and all around the world.
All of those projects have different characteristics, different background stories and different specific requirements.
But each and every one of them embodies our whole experience.
They are all unique.
From industrial hangars to high-bay warehouses, from bold suspension bridges to glass skyscrapers in the world’s largest cities, we have realised more than 2000 projects over the years.
The following selection showcases our various areas of competence.

Cable car station
Alpine engineering in the Kaunertal valley
The Falginjoch cable car in the Tyrolean Kaunertal valley was put into operation in December 2019, only five and a half months after construction commenced. PICHLER projects was in charge of realising the valley and summit station based on plans by the architecture firm Baumschlager Hutter Partners.
As well as blending perfectly into the surrounding landscape, the buildings have large glass façades, granting visitors fascinating glimpses through the steel structures onto the technology powering the state-of-the-art cable car.
To achieve this, the steel structure had to be built in a way that allowed the assembly operators to reach through and install the glass. Considering the scope of the project, this required a creative approach. Another complicating factor in the construction of the summit station at 3,113 metres above sea level was the weather, which kept the workers on their toes during all steps of the process.
In 2020, the project won the Tyrolean recognition award for buildings that ‘meet the criterion of exemplary engagement with the architectural challenges of our age both in terms of aesthetics and innovation’.
