A light-filled dome
The new Ferring Pharmaceuticals headquarters in Copenhagen, designed by Foster + Partners, appears to float above the rooftops of the Danish capital.
Its striking steel-and-glass dome, integrated into the roof, is defined by transparency and flowing lines, lending the structure an almost weightless character.
Over 215 tonnes of steel structures were installed, with the dome's glazed surface spanning more than 1,800 m².
The steel structures were clad with 638 glass elements, each with its own unique geometry. PICHLER projects oversaw the planning, delivery and installation of this masterpiece, with each triple-glazed element cold-bent to achieve the dynamic form.
