projects

Our passion and drive have been instrumental to the success of numerous projects both domestically and all around the world.
All of those projects have different characteristics, different background stories and different specific requirements.
But each and every one of them embodies our whole experience.
They are all unique.
From industrial hangars to high-bay warehouses, from bold suspension bridges to glass skyscrapers in the world’s largest cities, we have realised more than 2000 projects over the years.
The following selection showcases our various areas of competence.

Office building

A steel exoskeleton

Bonfiglioli is a global leader in developing and constructing systems for highly complex applications in the fields of industrial automation, mobile machines and renewable energies.

During the planning phase for the company’s new corporate headquarters in Bologna, sustainability – one of Bonfiglioli’s key messages – was a priority.

The innovative architectural design by Peter Pichler Architecture aims to reduce CO2 emissions and achieve greater energy self-sufficiency.

The building is aligned with the sun, and a sloped roof increases the surface area of its north façade to let plenty of natural light into the offices. Consequently, the southern façade is smaller, which results in an optimal indoor climate.

The team at Peter Pichler Architecture took great care to ensure that all internal spaces can be used flexibly: there are no pillars, as the façade bears the entire weight. This steel exoskeleton gradually transitions into the roof, vertically distributing the mass of the building.
