Sustainable industrial regeneration
The Salvagnini Campus is the result of an industrial-regeneration initiative.
Visitor experience and wellbeing are at the centre of the complex designed by Traverso-Vighy Architetti.
The campus is part of a modernisation project of the company’s administrative sector, and the management asked for sustainability and respect for the region.
Efficient energy management and the use of recycled and recyclable materials were key aspects in its realisation. In addition, the multi-storey headquarters were remodelled entirely to make the building brighter and more spacious, reducing the built-up area in favour of larger green spaces. As a result, the business park blends into the surrounding rural area much more harmoniously.
The combination of steel, wood and glass, chosen with the goal of immediate sustainability in mind, shows great foresight: it allows the building to be dismantled and recycled fully at the end of its life cycle. In choosing it, Salvagnini is doing a service to future generations who will profit from this concrete entrepreneurial vision.
