Technology and engineering in service of logistics
600 tonnes of steel, 2,000 m² of multilayered roof panels, 6,000 m² of horizontally installed façade elements: the realisation of a project of this scale in just five months demanded the highest technical precision and planning expertise.
Würth’s new logistics centre impresses with a load-bearing structure of exceptional rigidity and minimal deformation. This stability is critical, as the entire building is traversed by advanced, software-controlled robots on a robust, expansive framework, keeping movements to a minimum.
The building envelope prioritised absolute airtightness.
An innovative oxygen reduction system ensures maximum safety by introducing nitrogen to lower the oxygen concentration from 21% to 14%, preventing fire outbreaks. Specially developed seals further guarantee the envelope's air and water tightness for at least 20 years.
